Consortium Course Enrollment Through Acadeum

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of 科学 - Adolescence to Young Adult (AYA) Education, Bachelor of 科学 - Middle Childhood Education (MCE), or the AYA or MCE tracks of the Post Baccalaureate Licensure Program are required to be highly qualified in their selected content areas (English Language Arts, 数学, 科学, 社会研究). Required courses may be taken online directly with Franklin, or online through Acadeum through Franklin’s consortium agreement with the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC). Selected online courses at consortial institutions are made available through the Acadeum Course Share platform.

Consortium Enrollment Benefits

Financial aid can be used to cover the tuition cost of courses (Note: Ohio residents receiving state grant funding may not be able to have grant funds applied to courses taken at consortium institutions located in other states)
Courses count toward part- and full-time status, as well as residency requirements at Franklin
Grades earned are calculated into the student's GPA at Franklin
Courses and grades are transferred directly from the consortial institution, and transcribed on the student’s Franklin transcript

Students must be eligible for registration at Franklin, and have satisfied all of the consortial institution’s prerequisite requirements for each course
Students must work with their academic advisor to identify potential courses that have been pre-approved by faculty
All requests to enroll in courses offered through the consortium require approval by the School of Education faculty
Following internal approval, a request to enroll will be sent to the consortial institution
Once a request to enroll has been approved, students will receive information from the consortial institution and Acadeum to their Franklin student email account regarding their login credentials, how to access to the learning management system, beginning their course and other policies
The Registrar’s Office will register students for the equivalent course at Franklin

帐单及付款

Students are responsible for all tuition costs. All tuition costs will be billed directly by Franklin, not the consortial institution.
Courses are billed at the standard Franklin $398 per credit hour tuition rate
All Franklin payment policies and deadlines apply
Students are responsible for any textbook costs and/or additional fees charged by the consortial institution. Information about additional costs will need to be obtained from the consortial institution.

Students are required to follow all academic policies, procedures and deadlines of the consortial institution
Drops and Withdrawals
- Students needing to drop or withdraw from a consortial course must contact their academic advisor
- All drops and withdrawals are subject to Franklin’s policies on course withdrawals and tuition refunds
- Withdrawing from a consortial course could have financial aid consequences
